Here is the 8th and final part from another all but forgotten Field Communications special production - The Reluctant Robot. It was produced to get kids interested in Astronomical Science; pulsars, planets, space travel, etc. You can definitely see the influence from Star Wars a couple years earlier. The budget must not have been too great because the whole thing comes off as feeling like an episode of Dr. Who. (not that there's anything *wrong* with that) ;-) Ending Credits: Cast The Professor - Dan Leegant Norman - Michael Lee Gogin ICU2 - Eileen Todd ICU2's voice - Liz Mamorsky Bellows - Tom Chase Grimes - Cliff Watts Alien #1 - Kellee Brod (Related to Kelly Brod - the Granola and Sproutmaker from the Way to Go! Special?) Alien #2 - Eileen Todd Delivery Man - Bob Day Written by - William Van Horn and Mitchell Rose Teleplay by Roy Anthony Cox and Mark Krigbaum Costume and Robot Design - Deborah Capen Robot Engineering and Assembly - Don Nelson - Dave McMillan - Paul Hara - Roger Liptak Sniff's Radio Controls - Hal Hague Animation - Mitchell Rose and William Van Horn Music by Ed Bogas and Fritz Heilbron Videography - Roger Krupp Lighting Director - Dick Favaro Video Production Consultant - Ed Dudkowski Art Director - Karil Daniels Key Grip - Bob Day Production Assistant - Bob Sitzwohl Assistant to the Director - Toy Percer Rocket Model - Mark Paillassou Editing and Production Design - Eclipse Films Video Location and Post Production Facilities - Dudkowski-Lynce Associates Special Thanks To - Kingsly Whiteman and Chabot Observatory - NASA - Encyclopedia Britannica Educational Corp., Paramount Television, Twentieth Century Fox Television, Mills College, Walnut Creek Police Department and STABA Sequences from "Star Trek" - Copyright 1966 Paramount Pictures Corporation - All rights reserved Sequences from "Lost in Space" - Copyrighted Twentieth Century Fox Television - All rights reserved Director of Children's Programming - Development, Field Communications - Dr. Frank Allen Philpot A Sparlin/Free Production for Field Communications.
